Technical backend of MarchForLife.Net
This month, I shut down my server which had been co-located in a facility, saving me a significant monthly expense. The last site I had on that server was marchforlife.net.
I decided to put up a much simpler site. For reasons I explain here, marchforlife.net runs (unnecessarily) on Angular, and it makes an http.jsonp call to my blog rss feed, bringing in a single blog post as the content of the website.
I have begun my foray into the cloud. This site is now my first site running on Firebase, which is Google's cloud platform. I really like Firebase and I hope to continue to learn the ins and outs of it.
That's all for now!
